SACRAMENTO KINGS ANNOUNCE ESPORTS TOURNAMENT PLATFORM “THE REALM” IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RIVAL

Video Gaming Community Debuts with February 4th Tournament

NEW YORK, NY. (Jan. 30, 2023) – Today, the Sacramento Kings, in partnership with Rival, announced “The Realm,” an online community for gamers around the world to connect, compete and engage with the team.

“The Realm and our partnership with Rival gives us the opportunity to engage with fans beyond the Sacramento region,” said Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “As esports continues to grow, we are excited to offer our gaming community a place to connect with each other and the Kings franchise.”

The Realm will host a number of online tournaments featuring various game titles such as NBA2K, Fortnite, Rocket League and more to help reach fans of all ages and interests. Programming will consist of monthly tournaments for fans to enter to win cash, experiences and prizes from the Sacramento Kings, Stockton Kings and Kings Guard Gaming.

On Saturday, February 4 at 10 a.m. PST, The Realm will host a free-to-enter tournament featuring Fall Guys, an online multiplayer obstacle course game. Fans can sign up until 9 a.m. PST on February 4 at Kings.com/TheRealm. The winner will receive a Kings City Edition jersey signed by Kings guard Davion Mitchell.
