Video Gaming Community Debuts with Jan. 5 Madden ’23 Tournament

NEW YORK, NY. (Dec. 28, 2022) – In collaboration with Rival, the National Football League’s (NFL) Tennessee Titans today announced “Titans Tourneys,” an interactive video gaming experience to fans and gamers. The Titans will host its first “Titans Tourneys” tournament on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7pm CT with Madden ’23 on PS5 and XBOX One.

“Titans Tourneys and our new collaboration with Rival provides the opportunity to engage our fans on a new level, creating a tightknit community for those who love online gaming,” said Gil Beverly, Titans Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer. “We continue to see Titans fans interacting with online platforms like fantasy football and video games to build friendship and enthusiasm surrounding our team. This competition will bring a new element of fun and excitement to our fanbase as they continue to embrace unique ways to support the Titans.”

“Titans Tourneys” is a new esports gaming platform where participants can compete for special prizes while engaging with other Titans fans in a dedicated gaming community. The league will be run fully online powered by the Rival platform. The league will offer a variety of tournaments in which fans can participate.

Next week’s inaugural tournament will offer prizes including an autographed jersey from Titans Running Back Derrick Henry, and for future events, the club will explore opportunities to host in-person tournaments and other interactive experiences. “Titans Tourneys” will also track players’ skill and participation on its leaderboard, leveraging Rival’s point system and digital currency.
